Celebrating Black History Month

“As we celebrate Black History Month . . . let’s not just give presentations on the great people who have shaped our country and our world; let’s also work to figure out what questions they may have asked to do so, and what questions we should be asking now—right now—to make history ourselves, every day.” — Jason Reynolds

Jason Reynolds, National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, encourages us to think of “history” as what happens when we ask questions. What better way to start exploring, broadening our horizons, and asking questions than to pick up a new book?

We’re excited to announce that during Black History Month, we are offering a 50% discount on all sorts of titles celebrating Black voices, from biographies and autobiographies of historical figures—some well known, some lesser known—to adult novels by some of the most exciting new authors writing today, to children’s books both contemporary and classic.

Read, learn, be inspired, ask questions, and make history.
